Synopsis
On the eve of the Victory Day a senior lieutenant and a soldier in the Chechen war, Pechalin, departs on leave to Moscow. Before his departure the battalion commander assigns a task to bring new recruits, to help around, and to find a girlfriend already. According to the battalion commander, the girl must know «the cultural program». Pechalin would love to do so, because for some reason he has always dreamed to get acquainted with a girl in the academy of music. But … the bitter taste of war doesn't leave him even in Moscow.
On the first day of his vacation he meets a friend named Gajewski, who used to be a military man and now works as a captain of the militia. On the second day Pechalin helps Gajewski to rescue a hooker Victoria, who got in dangerous situation … Although the senior lieutenant likes Victoria, her "profession" doesn't match with his idea of «the officer’s wife» at all. They were destined to celebrate the Victory Day dancing a waltz together, and then … to part. Just so they could meet again in the war …
