Synopsis

This story takes place in Moscow nowadays where an archeologist Aleksey is a step away from getting his PHD in science. He is a charming young man with southern blood in his veins. All of a sudden a great misfortune befalls his serene life: his younger brother, who fought with separatists, perishes at war. Being completely stressed out Aleksey founds out that his brother died at the hand of a contract soldier who lives in Moscow; Aleksey tracks the murderer down in a yard of his house. There he gets acquainted with a neighbor of the contract employee, a young woman named Vera. Soon they start an affair. Vera does her best to ease his pain that torches Aleksey since the day he learnt the truth about his brother’s death. Nevertheless, when our hero goes to the length of murder, the fate deals everything in its own way. The contract soldier commits a suicide; Vera almost dies trying to shield Aleksey...
